Midnight Waltz began one night at exactly midnight. I was sitting alone by the window, watching the moonlight shimmer across the sea. Everything outside seemed peaceful, yet within that stillness there was also loneliness—the kind that cannot always be changed or escaped, only felt and accepted.
The piece grew from this contradiction. Its flowing waltz rhythm carries the calm movement of the moonlit water, while the melody holds a more private emotion: longing, solitude and the quiet realization that some moments ask nothing from us except to remain with them.
I wrote Midnight Waltz to capture the delicate line between being alone and feeling at peace. As you play it, I hope you discover your own meaning within that midnight scene—perhaps serenity, perhaps longing, or perhaps a reflection of something within yourself.
